Default Revup Motor

I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I am looking for.
Can someone tell me which model(s) Z come with the Revup motor?
I have a base 2005. Just curious if I have it.

no you don't have it.

only the 2005 track and Anniversary Ed. as well as all 06's have them. And they have to be manual transmission to have them.

All you have to do is look at your redline on your rpm tach. 6600=287hp, 7000=300hp.

Thats what i was thinking too. I thought the fastest so far was a 2004 model.

I'd love to drive a Revup one time to see what it feels/sounds like to hit 7,000 RPM!

i did 7 sec 0-60 mph in my 05 touring

Although my mate in the passenger seat timed with his cell... so could be wrong.

Quick question... Does anyone know if, a base 2004 Z engine is identical to a base 2005...any difference?

no engines are identical. They're like fingerprints.

But they should have the same engine components.

well if your talking specs wise on paper, yes they have the same engine.... 2006 is when the revup motor became standard for ALL manual transmission Z's
