Default unbelievable! - another 350Z hits my Z!

I know this sounds like completely fake and unbelievable.... but here goes.

earlier tonight I was in Scottsdale, AZ... cruising to a club with some friends.

We were all lined up in the left turn lane at a stop light.... the light had a red arrow for the people turning left, but the straight ahead traffic had a green.....

well.... as I am waiting in the turn lane I feel a my Z shake a bit and hear a wierd scraping impact sound from the right side....

just as I hear it I look over to see a Pikes Peak White 350Z pass my passenger side at about 40mph....

I'm freaking out trying to figure what the hell the sound was... I realize I think I have just been grazed by the white 350Z.

The left turn arrow turns green a bit later and I turn then pull into a parking lot to see what the damage is...

to my amazement I find the passesnger mirror had some white paint transfer from the other Z. a small spot... about 3/16" diameter... no other damage, but can you believe that!!!!

of all the other cars on the road... another 350Z grazes my mirror!!! I swear to God on my soul that I'm not lying...

somehwhere here in Az is a white Z that probably has some Daytona Blue paint transfer on it's mirror or somewhere.

What are the chances of this??? 1 in a billion???

I think I need to play the lottery next week.

I'm gonna take a pic of my mirror and post it soon.... I'm still freakin amazed....

I get the feeling the PPW knew you were another 350Z and tried to impress you by blowing by real close. Unfortunately he was/is an idiot, for pulling such a stunt in the first place, and misjudged the distance or forgot about the mirrors.
Too bad he was not another DB, for an obvious reason.

Thumbs down

The same thing almost happened to me out in Camarillo, CA. I was on my way to work in my Z and a black 350z comes out of nowhere doin' close to 100, sweeps 3 lanes, and nearly takes my front bumper off! Yeah, like I was really impressed.

I bet you can find out who it was too.. I doubt there is a lot of PPW Z's in that city, so tell your insurance, they can gather a list of Z's in the area, narrow it to PPW.. and I bet you there would be 5 max :P

I'm not going to pursue anything.... there is no real damage.... just a bit of paint transfer and a slight chip on my mirror.

I'm just absolutely amazed at this... had he been even 1/8" closer he'd have ripped off my mirror.

the odds of another car doing that are very high... but to be another 350Z.... astronomical!

by the way.... if the PPW Z that grazed me is on the board.... thanks alot a$$hole.. hope you enjoy the touch of Daytona Blue you took from me last night... and thanks for the free sample of Pikes Peak White.

Maybe the guy was in awe of your car and lost track of the distance between you as he passed! I know if I ever saw another Z around these parts, I'd be amazed.

Ah yes, of coarse, indeed that is it!! He is an excellent driver and just had to have a little piece of DB. N7', you should not behave in such a selfish manner to your fellow Z brethren. Can't you see he was only feeling the beauty of the DB in that moment and simply could not control his actions. Let him have his little sample, it's the least you can do for an owner of the most boring color.

So far he's only had a taste of the Daytona Blue. As long as he doesn't come back for the main course you should be alright N74.

Why would you try and impress another guy in a Z? Hello, he drives a Z and knows what he's got so there's no point in trying to show off the car to him.

That's pretty funny. What was the PPW Z driver thinking? He must have been checking out your Z and stuffed up big time.

Where abouts in Scottsdale did it happen? I am near Shea an Frank Lloyd Wright, I've seen one PPW, had 17" wheels, turned from Shea onto the 101.
