Default You guys werent kidding about the rattles....

All the time i hear people saying the 350z has rattles everywhere.... I was pretty surprised since mine didnt seem to have any... Then i realized I drive with my music pretty loud, and decided to turn it off...

WELLLLLL.... long story short i not understand what everyone was talking about... One really really really annoying one seems to be comming from the gauges as if the pin is bouncing around.... now that I know there is a rattles it will bother me until i get it fixed...

Im sad

I fixed a rattle in the dash once. Took the dash apart and wrapped some plastic wires. After I put the dash back together, I had rattle in two different places. No more rattle fixing for me.

The 2007 350Z will not rattle. It has anti-rattle technology. Truth.

nissan tech fixed my dash rattle last fall. They intalled insulations inside the dash or something. It was extremely annoying on rough roads. Now my 03 is rattle free so far.

Did they charge you to fix the prob.? I started noticing a rattle recently. It bothers me not because its annoying but because it makes the car feel cheap. When a car is quiet(wind noise and rattle free) it "feels" more "solid"
to me, if that makes any sense.

I have one rattle from the hatch, the cover around the third brake light rattles against the glass a little, and when i put in my radio i created another rattle... I think its my Ipod adapter, i need to take it apart and fix that

Overall, the z has less rattles than any other car I've had. 03' touring here

if there is one thing i hated most in this world...its the rattles...can't stand any rattles whatsoever. i drove my buddy's m3 and it rattled all over the place....clutch especially.
The rattle was fixed under warranty btw. Yeah... all the Z rattles can be fixed, just request for a tech who is specialized in rattle details.

Thanks man. That's good to know. "specialized in rattle details" ...that's funny that someone is specialized in this area. Is it that hard to build a car that has parts that stay in place.

Speaking of rattles, I think I can win a prize for the most bizzare rattle ever. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere in the dashboard, but it comes only when these conditions are all fulfilled: engine's warm, accelerating hard from 3k+ rpm. It started coming about a month after I put my plenum spacer, but it sounds like it's coming from the dash. I checked all screws in the engine bay and they're all tight. Any suggestions?(Sorry for hijacking! )

it must be hard. almost all cars develop rattles. some are lucky and don't. i drove a brand new S550 last week and it had some rattles. 7 series, jaguars, land rover, you name it.

4,500 miles on my '06 ZR and no rattles. Actually, I'm surprised how "tight" it is. Hope this keeps up.
