Default 2007 = 300hp Auto ?

Has it been confirmed that the 2007 autos will have the 300hp engine like the 6speed? One or two people replied to my other thread and said that they would be changing it. If they are, do you guys have any links/sources to confirm this? I did a search on here, but didn’t' find anything. I'll hold out until this Fall if this is the case.

No way to confirm it this early, but that will be the likely offering.

Every major automotive magazine (Car & Driver, Road & Track, Motor Trend, Autombile, etc.) is reporting that the 300hp engine will be available in the automatic models in 2007.

300hp isn't enought to make all the 2003-2006 Z owners to get one now just because it is 300hp. Now if the Z are making 330hp or more that might be worth the jump.

yesssssssssss, an extra 30hp and take a 15,000 hit, that's really worth it.

Is the new 300hp AT going to have less torque like the 300hp MT? If so, I would rather keep the old engine. If given a choice I would take more torque over more horsepower.

I disagree, but not completely. If given a choice, I would take more torque AND more horsepower AND 300+lbs lighter!!!
