Default Apexi SAFC ?????

My car was recently dyno'd and i went extremely rich above 4800 rpms. I am looking to do a cheaper tune for the AFR. I was thinking of going with the APEXi SAFC. I know theres the technosquare and the aam for a reflash. But i dont want to spend $600 on them and each time I change a mod have to send the ecu for a reflash. Does anyone have one installed and have good luck with it. Make any gaines??? Please help.......thanks

If you install and adjust air:fuel with the ApexI SAFC II, how do you know if you are making or losing horsepower?

Been down this road. The ratio of added horsepower to money spent on an AFC is a waste of money IMO. The most hp for the buck is nitrous...spray baby spray.

edit*...let me clarify. I'm assuming you're N/A and if you really want a piggyback spend a little more and go with a UTEC or emanage ultimate. The Apexi is the most limited of them from a air/ fuel ratio tuning capability and does not allow you to change the timing which is where the real gains can be seen.

Honestly i dont care about the timing, i just want to get my A/F where it should be instead of extremely rich. The horsepower gain will come because I am seriously running that rich. A used APEXi SAFC is only like $100-150 and then some dyno time and tuning isnt that much more. IT's much cheaper than a technosquare and a hell of a lot cheaper than a utec. I am prolly going turbo in 6 months and the turbonetics kit comes with a reflash. I just want something for the time being.

I know that there are atleast a few people on 350zmotoring that have posted their experiences. Kinda taboo plugging another site, but that might be a place to look.

I know I kinda ragged on the apexi safcII but knowing my dumb **** I'm probably going to go this route one day since I have no ambitions of ever going F/I.
