Default Question? How can I have a fully loaded 35th Grand Touring Z but not have....

the rear LED brake lights?!?!?!

I just noticed a Z on the road with LED brake lights, yet the 2005 Z that I just bought (Nav, Xenon, Heated seats/mirrors, Brembo's, 6 CD, Curtain Air Bags) everything......does not have the rear brake light LED option

How did that happen? Was it a seperate option? Was it not an option on '05s?

Thanks

First of all, LEDs only come on the '06s. Second...do you have a 35th, or a Grand Touring? They are two different cars.

35th is a coupe. 05 Grand Touring is basically the 35th but with droptop, and no rev-up motor for manuals.

I have a 35th with LED tails tho.

Thanks. Your 35th has aftermarket LED tail lights then, since someone had stated that you can only order them on the 06's? How much did you pay?

I recently picked up a fully loaded 35th Anniv 4 months ago...however knew about the tail light differance, you can always buy them, i didnt know about the Steering wheel contols for AUDIO, i would have loved those and feel the 06 interor's leather is nicer , maybe its just becuase its brand new but also like the leather on the door panels, the interior buttons are put together better , and mp3 support! ... i prob would have waited for an 06 but really wanted the ultra yellow

By the way, Turk; GT coupe is new for '06. There was no such thing in '05.

You have a 2005 35th Anniversary Edition. The 2005 Grand Touring model was available only on Roadsters for 2005. For 2006, the Grand Touring Coup etakes the place of the 35th Anniversary model from 2005. The Grand Touring Roadster still exists.

The LED taillights did not appear until the 2006 model-year. You can purchase them online and install them if you like them better.

I knew about the new tail lights when I bought mine in Nov, but the deal was just too great on the "leftover" 05 35th Anv., so it was not worth it. I can always change, since its a simple bolt on.
