Default A problem with the new ride.

I've only had the car for 6 days and it has died on me as many times.
Particulars:
04 with 26,000 on her.
She will act as if it puked but it is still running, SLIP and TC lights come on, hitting the gas pedal barely makes the R's move. If I shut it down and fire it back up she is fine. Any ideas?

What did the service advisor say when you told him/her?

Default Service Advisor

The service advisor was a dick at best, but it was the only dealer i could get it into in quick fashion. i'll know more tomorrow. I am leaning on some type of sensor, maybe O2?

this may sound stupid but where is the crank sensor? On the harmonic balancer? If that is the deal I will get it out of this dealership, it is a new Nissan dealer and I don't know that the mechanics know their sh*t yet.

F - P245/35 ZR20
R - P275/30 ZR20
Are you thinking the size of the wheels might be throwing off the traction control?
After it happened the first time the "Service Engine Soon" light came on and has stayed that way.
It almost always occurs when at low speed, comming to a stop.

VDC/TCS expects to see the rear tire 10mm taller than the front. Yours are 18mm. I don't not know if 18mm is acceptable.

I mistyped the rears as 275/30 when in reality they are 275/35. Can you tell me where you used the size calulator or run that set of numbers? Thanls for the help.

Then that makes it worse. See: http://www.dakota-truck.net/TIRECALC/tirecalc.html

Cool.

I had a tire shop accidentally install one 225 and one 245 tire on the rear axle. I would get SLIP, and the car would shut down. Took me two days to figure out the problem.

Wow - I have noticed that downshifiting around corners has at times created a bit of a shutter for lack of a better term. The sidewall on the tires looks identical in height from front to rear but the numbers tell the truth. I will post the outcome for sure, thanks again. I'm looking forward to reading more on this board. I used to have a RX7-TII and the info available on the forums was the best, much more so than any mechanic I ever found at a dealership.
