Question Modifying the Z

Finally paid off the Z, now being use to the performance I feel I need to make it faster.

Options
FI-after reading lots of post it seems this route is just a headache, and the chance of our high compression engine braking is increased dramatically.

Bolt-ons-easier to do but disappointed in the horsepower figures of 5hp here, 10hp there.

I don’t want to spend more than $7,000 on what ever I do, or might even sell it.(I even considering a GTO). I dont have the money to do forged internals or a new engine. I love the look, the rear drive platform, handling, and build quality of the Z. I need more butt dyno though. 287 is not cutting it after a year of ownership.

Need suggestions.....I wanted to go with the Stillen SC since it seems the most reliable and easy on our engine, but it seems everyone on this board flames Stillen on products and CS and I would have put my stock hood in storage-is Stillen really that bad?

Thanks.2005Z-6spd-bone stock.
