anyone else got this mail? I just got a mail today saying Performancenissanparts.com and mynismo.com were hacked..

"As a precaution, please contact the credit card company whose card corresponds to the four digit at the top of this letter (1468), Being the last four digits to your credit card account, to request a new account number and a replacement card.

i thought last time they said they upgrade the database on the website and have some problem with it. ??

well.. both of those sites are down again.. and apparently the customers who made online purchases at those 2 sites could have their names, addresses and credit card info exposed to the hacker

I don't understand why online merchants feel they need to leave CC info in their databases. Once the CC info is verified with VISA/MC/Amex there is no need to retain it at all. I really hope this changes their daily practices.

they use Oscommerce. They need to update the software more frequently.

thing is.. it says in BOLD.. PLZ contact CC company IFFFFF your credit card # corresponds to the four digits at the top of this letter.. 1468.. which is my last 4 digit.. but um.. im not sure if this mail is ONLY FOR ME???? or.. for a few of us suckers with 1468... or everyone and they actually list everyones own last 4 up..

Luckily I only bought stuff from them through Ebay so far. I almost got the tail lights from their website, now I'm glad I didn't.

always use paypal or citibank which makes a virtual card number for internet purchases or one time purchases.
