Disconnecting the battery question ????
Hey guys, this might sound really stupid, but i wanna be safe than sorry.
you know how the 350z battery is near the top corner and the only way to disconnect the terminals is to stand on the side. if i was to disconnect the battery(both - and +) on the side(touching the metal fenders) would i get shocked ?
the only reason i asked this is because my past cars all had their batteries near the bottom and the front bumper was plastic.

Just disconnect negative ground first. That will shut everything off. If you need to take the battery out, take the positive terminal off second. You may see some small sparking but you'll be okay. Just don't touch the metal part of the terminal.
Correct, disconnect ground first then your hot positive. When reconnecting, reconnect the positive first, and then ground.
You may see a small spark when you reconnect the ground, but don't be alarmed it is normal and won't hurt you. When you get better and faster at playing with the terminals, there will be no spark. The more you shake it around, on and off the terminal while you are screwing it down, the more it will spark/the larger the spark.
So when reconnecting the ground, connect the terminal on the negative post in a swift and smooth fashion and hold it down as you tighten it up. You will be fine!
