Ok.. WTF.. Does the Z autolock its doors?
This is now the 5th time I can remember, where I have left my doors unlocked (double/triple/quad checked they were both unlocked) so someone could leave me something... Everytime I do this, they say the doors are locked!! Considering the Z doesn't even auto lock the doors when you get in the car, I find it strange it seems to be locking them if I leave the car unattended...
Do I have some sort of ghost in my car, or what...
I swear im not crazy!

When you unlock the doors, are you opening them then closing them again before leaving it unattended? Before I bought my Z I had a Hyundai on which the doors relocked on their own after 2 minutes of unlocking them with the remote and not opening the door. *shrugs* I never noticed on the Z cause I'm paranoid and would rather leave my credit cards laying in my front yard then leave my baby unlocked.. lol But yeah try unlocking it, opening the door then shutting it, THEN leaving it unattended ;-)

After you drive your Z and you take the keys out of the ignition and close the door, your doors will be left unlocked. However if you lock it once and then unlock it, it will auto-lock. You must then start your car again and shut it off. Hope this makes sense.

yup - happened to me at a gas station, left the car in idle to run in and get a drink, stepped out and the doors were locked with the keys in there...i specifically remember unlocking the doors with the auto-lock button on the door to get out. My Z was on idle at the station for almost an hour and a half before the lock guy came! on the other hand i now made/have a friend at that station and she lets me get stuff for free...go figure
oh, and for the last 15 minutes or so, my Common cd was skipping at the same place...

That is exactly what is happening. I guess this one of those RTFM moments, but thanks.

Damn, I have been very close to doing that myself. I think my only saving grace is I always forget to lock the doors once I get moving, or I would have experienced this first hand. Damn that would suck!

It happened to me also, I opened the door, started the car up, closed the door and went inside to grab something. When I came back the doors were locked.
Luckily my window didnt decide to close all the way and I was able to unlock the door with a stainless steel welding rod.. lol?
