Default Aviation Gas ???

I got 2 gallons of aviation fuel from a buddy. Can I use this in the Z w/o doing damage to sensors or the engine??? Is this more powerful than regular pump gas??

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jet A fuel is basicly Diesel.... we call it "dirty disel".... I wont even go into details as to why you dont want to use that.

100 LL (Low Lead) -If you were to use that your going to suffer from detonation, and the lead content will not only fowl up your spark plugs, but it will ruin your emmitions systems.... CAN YOU SAY SENSOR REPLACEMENT?

If you do end up trying it anyway, make sure you get it on tape, so that when the next member asks the same type of question, I can post the vid, and go "And this is what happends"....

Stick to the stuff from the gas station (Except the diesel)

I got a big drum of kerosene in the garage; can I use that? Would it be better if I poured a couple bottles of my wife's nail polish remover in; acetone is good, right?

lol

The guy in the spacesuit looks a lot like Al Bundy - even has similar posture. Hate to think he's flying for our side

Good thing I'v never tried that. :O I was told that 100 octane race fuel and aviation fuel were the same fuel. I knew never to trust my father.

Back in the days of the old muscle car they did put aircraft fuel in their cars. Its not the same as today with all the computers and sensors our cars have.

Absolutely. While you're at it, add a gallon of paint thinner and a couple of banana peels into the mix for that extra octane oomph

Cessna's right. We do, in fact, use jet fuel in our diesel trucks. JP-5, JP-4, JP-8, Jet A, Jet A+, Everclear...just keep it all far, far away from your car.

IF you can get your car to start with the stuff in the tank, you'll run into big problems, not least of which is overheating due to the high flashpoint of aviation fuels.

Well he did not say it was JetA, could be AVGAS and that used to be ran in racing car engines. That doesn't mean you should use it in the Z . lol
