I let my buddy drive my Z, with me in the passenger. I accidentally left the VDC off and he burned them all through 3rd. I hate him now, j/k! Guess my car is very capable, but for me to do this to my own baby, probably not.

If you're in 1st, and you start rolling and floor it, how much of a burnout will you do? How about in 2nd?
Just wondering, and haven't tried it yet.

.....you should never "dump the clutch" if and when you do a burnout, you should pre-load the clutch otherwise you may snap the axles or something else. I don't do burnouts, there's not really a reason to, unless your at the track. However, I have done some doughnuts just for the fun of hearing a passenger scream. Once with my wife in the car and I didn't give her any warning.......she was pissed for 3 days, 1 day for each time I spun the car around, it was so worth it!

I've done it 2 or 3 times but just while pulling away from a stop. I do have 2 good reasons why.

1. Gas is too high to go for long drives and it's actualluy cheaper to just cruise around town and do burnouts everywhere

2. I want to upgrade to 245/40's and 264/40's

I'm kidding.... Mostly

I could burnout in my old 78 Chevy citation (yes, I really owned one). Any idiot can do it. Learn to put that power to the ground without breaking traction, and that, my friend, is impressive.

I enjoy burnouts in my 5AT, as long as its not over 85 I won't have a problem with the brake fuse. Over 85 and they just hook, which is good on the street for me

i say rev it up and sidestep the clutch..... who cares


i dump mine everytime, it actually wont hurt anything. maybe if you are on 315 DRs

slowly letting out the clutch will fry the clutch nicely in a burnout

um, none. It will be one of those moments when you realize again that you bought a fun, awesome great car that is fast but not the 400 or 500hp+ monster that you have always dreamed of getting to own

no burn outs for me. i like my tires.

taking off from a stop is not a burnout.

roasting the 275's off my 20's is quite fun actually, especially when youre done with donuts and the air is still smelling like tires...which leads me to the question of, why doesnt somebody make an airfreshener that smells like burnt up tires.. sometimes i find my mid sectin rising from the smell..

did not say I diden't know how it was done...just stated that it was expensive to do....

i just go to an empty street with no cars at ALL cuz it can be very dangerious turn my traction off stop at the stop sign see if any cars are approaching n pound on my gas pedal while im turning onto the next street.You will seriously be amazed of the power the z has with all kinds of nice white smoke. Only do such a thing if you think you can handle the car if your not sure of yourself do not try this because you will crash into someones house. So take it to a huge empty parking lot and practice with your car before being dangerious like that lol
