But they also said they were going to replace the clutch disc.... they are trying to sell me a pressure plate and through out baring to change while they are at it.... with only 34k do i really need those? and have any of you had issues with the new version transmission they throw in?
what happened to your old trans? My trans sounds like a box of rocks but as soon as you push the clutch in the noise goes away. Is the trans they are putting in the same kind of trans or is it an improved/updated trans?

yeah it wont even shift into 3rd gear.... they said if i use any aftermarket or NISMO parts they will install them free BUT the warranty will officially be voided out.

you mean like a nismo clutch or flywheel? as you might know those parts themselves arnt warranted but they CANT void your warranty unless they are proven to be the cause of the problem
when i had my tranny replaced i had the opppurtunity for the same thing but had jsut saved up money for my nismo wheels and decided to kep my oem stuff since it only had maybe 12K miles on it. i wish i would have gone ahead and gotten the nismo clutch and flywheel since it would have been labor free. so if you ever are debating this now would be the most cost efficent time

Ehh... I have CD-008 as well for a couple months and 3rd, 4th, and 5th does not engage smoothly. I scratch more often with this tranny than my previous one! 4th is noisy like a bucket of bolts when I get it in gear. Why is it the faster I shift the more resistance or clunk I get?
Do you intend to keep the car for a while? If so, I would replace those parts since you will have to eventually.
If you plan to sell the car before these items normal replacement interval then why bother.

When they put the new transmission in mine, they included a clutch under warranty. Maybe I just got lucky, but they said Nissan told them to do it.
I put in a JWT flywheel, which the dealer promptly messed up. I had it towed to Doug at Crawford's who fixed it (after finding a plastic bag the dealer had left in the tranny!).
I highly recommend a reasonably lighter flywheel. Makes the car feel like it should have to start with. Probably my best mod on the car.
