what happened to your old trans? My trans sounds like a box of rocks but as soon as you push the clutch in the noise goes away. Is the trans they are putting in the same kind of trans or is it an improved/updated trans?

Interesting that Nissan is giving you a transmission and trying to sell you parts. If the parts are bad then Nissan should give them to you free.

Probably a good idea. These are wear items.

It sounds like a fair deal. Might as well upgrade to the nismo presure plate if they'll let you.

How could a NISMO part viod the warranty? They are dealer installed options.

Ehh... I have CD-008 as well for a couple months and 3rd, 4th, and 5th does not engage smoothly. I scratch more often with this tranny than my previous one! 4th is noisy like a bucket of bolts when I get it in gear. Why is it the faster I shift the more resistance or clunk I get?

Do you intend to keep the car for a while? If so, I would replace those parts since you will have to eventually.

If you plan to sell the car before these items normal replacement interval then why bother.

I would take this opportunity and throw in an aftermarket set-up much better than stock and more value per $$$

When they put the new transmission in mine, they included a clutch under warranty. Maybe I just got lucky, but they said Nissan told them to do it.

I put in a JWT flywheel, which the dealer promptly messed up. I had it towed to Doug at Crawford's who fixed it (after finding a plastic bag the dealer had left in the tranny!).

I highly recommend a reasonably lighter flywheel. Makes the car feel like it should have to start with. Probably my best mod on the car.
