Is anybody a REAL Technician or are you just people who are backyard know it alls?
You know when I signed up for this site I figured I'd be able to get some information about the car I own from people who know what they are talking about. Well it turns out that I found that most of you are pompous jerks who think that the 350Z is gods great gift to vehicles. Yes it is a great car and I wouldn't have anything else at this point in my life... but there's better out there and I'm not a jerk off about it! I've been reading forums to find information about my car but all I'm getting is stupid retarded answers from back yard, article reading people thinking they're techs cause they saw a show on the speed channel. The matter of the fact is MOST, not all of you, MOST of you are wrong for a good portion of the time. I know cause I run a shop and I'm having my CERTIFIED NISSAN TECHNICIANS read your forums and they ALWAYS walk away laughing. Before you go and try telling people what you "think" or what you read in a Nissan mailer ask a professional! It's simple... all you have to do is dial the service department where you got your car from. It's your car and I can't tell you what to do with it but I'm sure as hell not going to take the advise from a guy who is getting his information second hand when it comes to dealing with my Z. Oh yeah you're not going to be taken seriously when you think you're better than someone else because you drive a Z! Grow up!
<--- I worked for Nissan for 5 years as a technician.... Decided to pursue other things and now make a better salary and have been able to buy my house and get my skyline in 2 years...... But some of us do know what we are talking about..... Besides the majority of the techs at dealerships are vocational school new hires anyway....And I don't care much formy z anymore because I have 3 other cars that can compete easily with it. But hands down the z gets the styling points!!!!!!
You know you are free to go elsewhere if you are not getting what you paid for from this site. Perhaps you are new to the internet and do not realize that everthing you read on it needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
Come on, man. Even in a face to face situation such as a car club meet, you're going to have disinformation abound, you just aren't normally privvy to knowing that it's all being passed around because the conversations aren't saved verbatim for future reference. You also know that most people ARE wrong anyhow, and to be honest, I've caught my certified NISSAN service reps and mechanics being COMPLETELY wrong when dealing with my car too.
People go with what they know, sometimes correct, sometimes not. No need to **** on the entire community. I don't think I'm better than other people for driving a Z, but my Z knows I'm driving a car that is better than many other people's cars.

milkmoney, I'm going to spare you the flaming of a lifetime and close this thread.
You might consider that your experience here is largely in your hands. With only 17 posts to your name, one of them being this one, you can't have spent a whole lot of time "meeting" the other members. If you had, you'd discover that well thought out questions are almost always greeted with well thought out responses from members who know alot about this car.
Since you have access to Nissan technicians, why don't you consider being a contributor instead of complaining about how everyone provides incorrect information.
Just a thought.
