fairlady z...?
ok, im kinda new to nissans but picking it up. so far ive pretty much got that the fairlady z is the japanese name for the 350z. the g35 in japan is also the skyline... i think, dont flame me if im wrong. thats why im posting the thread. well i like the jdm craze and i really want to put the fairlady badging on my z. but i dont know what the differences are. i know that there has to be and just as a wild guess the fairlady in japan is alot faster. so basically my q is what are the differences? i dont want to put the fairlady name on my z if im going to get alot of bs for it. would i be able to put it on or is there way to much difference between the vehicles?

the main difference is just LHD vs RHD. the Z really is a fairlady Z. it was just named by the displacement because they didnt think the name fairlady on a sports car would go over well in the american market.
there is absolutely no posing in putting a Fairlady badge on your car

Agreed! There are plenty of times when Japanese cars have been detuned for the US market, but in this case the 350Z and FairladyZ from a performance and features standpoint are identical.
One example of posing was when people were putting EVO VI badges on their Mitsu Mirages (even after putting the EVO body kit on). That's posing.
The other one that I am against is the G35 drivers who put the Skyline badge on and don't change the Infiniti logos to Nissan. It's like they're trying to use the flagship US name (Infiniti) with the flagship Nissan name (Skyline). It's one or the other, not both. Also, they need to put the 350GT logo on the car too.
I'm debating doing FairLady badges on my Roadster; I've always preferred the Fairlady name to 300ZX, 350Z, etc.

I just got back from the Toyota museum in Nagoya, Japan and it seems up until the 80's, ever car had fender mirrors.
