I know it is personal preference, but I need any advice anyone has on their black or daytona blue Z's. I can't decide between the two because everytime that I see one in either color I then decide to get that color. Any pros or cons would help because right now I really can't decide and need to pick one soon because I need to order my 07 Z this month in order to receive it by this fall. Thanks.

 

I love my SB, but if they offered a deeper blue, I would have gone with that. If continually needing to clean your car doesn't bother you go with the black.

 

Personally, I believe Daytona Blue would get.. annoying after a while. It's an amazing color, but I know I would get pissed at myself for not getting black after a few weeks. Actually, not black, silverstone. :-P

 

I say DB! My first Z was Daytona Blue and I loved it, I have Redline now and love it even more

 

I am a mark for white cars, but I would have kicked my own *** if I didn't get DB. I still remember the first time I saw a DB Z, I was utterly amazed.

The only better/equal blue(s) I am aware of are Nogaro (audi) and Avus (BMW)

I would suggest anything and I mean ANYTHING but black. Unless you are willing to spend a rediculous amount of time trying to keep it clean. Its almost like a second job. I have owned 2 black vehichles and they are awesome looking when clean but that lasts about a day or so...

 

In '06, I'd buy Daytona Blue. Magnetic Black is very nice, but it's more upkeep. If you order an '06 now, you'll be driving a 350Z in August! If you order an '07, you'll be driving a Z in [Oct/Nov]???? I'd wait to see what the '07 models offer, their prices and what the new color for '07 will be, before I'd order one. My dealership ordered my 350Z in January '06, it was built in February '06 and it was delivered in April '06.

get black.. definitely black.. i already see way too many blue z's other than mine.. let's try to keep the number of blue z's down..

 

Its sujective, kind of depends on where you live really. If you live in the desert, or it rains alot, black might get on your nerves. It hides nothing. Also, chips in the paint are heart breaking cuz the plastic underneath is WHITE.

But if I had it to do all over again, I'd still go with black. The extra car washes are worth it. When its clean this baby stops traffic.

 

Blue, black is gay, scratches can be seen a mile away on black... not to say blue is that much better but none the less it is better. Plus blue stands out

 

i freaken hate black 350z's. i don't think Z's look good in black. Black is more for luxury sedans, or maybe mustangs. 350z's are sleak. it should be red, orange, or blue or yellow.

I would go with the daytona blue.

 

Yes, according to the dealer, if I put a down payment on my car now and order one of the 07 models, then i should have it by October or November. This suites me well as I just graduated college and want a couple of months to get my feet grounded.

 

I have a '06 magnetic black ZR. This is absolutely true.
