Default My 1st problem with the Z...wouldn't start

I was trying to start my car today, and it wouldn't start for some reason. It's not like the starters dead because it did make the ignition sound, somehow the engine wouldn't turn over. I have a JWT Popcharger so I went ahead and opened my hood to check it out. Nothing was wrong, the MAF sensor was plugged in, no visible leaks I could see...nothing. I went back and it started. This is the second time...any ideas? Happened to anyone? I only have about 3500miles on it.

My Z wouldn't start too, thought it was the battery, but realized later
that you need to press the clutch otherwise the car doesn't start
Rookie error

Try another key maybe its the code in teh key, but it wouldn't make since because you said it makes the ignition sound. The chip doesn't even let you get that far if its bad, I believe. How about the gas, give it some gas when starting or put some in if your low. check your battery cables as well.

always check the battery first, if you can jump start it then obviously thats your problem. don't assume its not the battery just b/c your have a "newer" vehicle. also check your batt cables as barthelb recommended.

I think there was a TSB or a RECALL on this problem. Check out www.nhtsa.gov see if this might help you out

Was there a recall on this problem? I don't think it's the key (code) because I could start it to the point where the ignition sound comes on, but the car just wouldn't turn over. This happened to me twice already...just trying to filter out what could be the problem. I'm going to check the battery cables today...thanks for the help, I will post a follow up in a little bit.

I had this happen yesterday also I had like 1100 miles on my 06, was at Sports Authority girl and I come out get in the car it turns over like it's gonna start then doesn't. Had to turn the key off try again and on the third time I did it the car started. Was really weird, never had it happen before and hopefully it doesn't happen again.

I have been having that problem for maybe 4 months on an 03 Touring with 16,000 miles on it. Whenever it happens if you just wait 5-10 seconds before turning it over it will always start. Talked to one other Z owner who experiences the same thing too. Read that recall it does sound like something similar to this.

That's the exact same thing I'm talking about, I sat there like a moron, trying to start my car, when someone was waiting to get in my parking slot...had to pop my hood...does anyone know if there's a recall on this or if we can take it in under warranty?

I had a similar problem with my 00 maxima. Generally have to pull out the key until the digital odometer disappears (30 seconds) then try again and fires right up. Maybe some screwy reset issue with the computer. But whenever I had this similar problem, just waited and fired right up.
