Track times by magazines
Maybe some of you technical people can explain to me. I have read almost every article on the Z.There are many things that go into 0-60,1/4 mile etc. track times.Curb weight, gear ratios,hp and torque curves etc.I am perplexed at the times the magazines are getting.R&T has had 2 articles on the Z.It has listed 2 different curb weights for the Track model(3290 & 3310).Nissan lists the curb weight for the Track model at 3225.Why such a difference? For example the Lancer Evolution was tested at 5.1 to 60,yet has less torque, less hp and weighs 10 more lbs than the tested weight of the Z.I love the car the way it is and all the performance but it sure seems to me the testing is very inconsistent.Would like to hear what you think .Thanks
Nope,
The evo is still faster. The quarter mile is about 13.4 at 103.
This is one of the sites where I got that from:

cotmfk-If you read the thread correctly you would have not answered like an idiot.I could care less what cars are faster than the Z.To me the EVO is an ugly econobox with wings. Can you understand that one?
hahaha, Yeah, I understand that one. No problem. Personal preference.
As far as the original post for the thread... Maybe I was biased by the number of other people who are complaining or arguing pointlessly when another car comes out with stats that are better than the Z. It just seemed to me like this was the beginning of that.
But, on your part, there's no need to call names or get all riled up. Internet arguing is pointless. Don't let someone's misinterpreting your thread (my bad) boil your blood.
