If you primarily want a track car, get a 2003-2004(possibly still with warranty) in good conditions, and spend a fraction of the price difference in tires, track time and a few performance bits. You will have a far more enjoyable car on the track with change to spare. (good track bits get expensive quickly)

If you primarily just want a grocery getter(with little to no track time), get a brand spanking new 2006.

Otherwise, the Track '05 if the best !

Ah, no mention of any suspension differences between trim levels in my knowledge.

the 05 track is the best "stocK" trim in the US, depends if in Australia the 05 track has the same specs as in the US. We didn't even get a 05 track in Canada. If you modify the car, the trim becomes a bit irrelevant (I'm sure a 03 with couple strategically placed Ks in the right spots would be superior )

For the suspension, there is no difference between trim levels, but there is a difference between years. The 04/06 have the revised suspension(get rids of the "bounce"). Again, that's in North America. In Europe, our "revised" suspension was available from the start in 03
