Thought this was kind of interesting....
I'm watching the American Lemans Race series on CBS right now. From what the announcers were just saying: Nissan has been inquiring about the race series for the 350z! so there is a possibility the 350z will be racing next season against the Porshes and Ferraris. 
There will be a GT Vete starting next season I think (maybe later this season). I think there is a red 550 GT car in this race today. I dont think they talked about it much though.

for some reason i think that red ferrari isn't a 550, but you might be right, looks different to me.
Just checked it out. The red 550 is a GT car.

I think it is funny how we both immedialy reacted by posting this great news. I hope this helps people put the Z in classes with the Porsche and the others as well.

Great news... the 300ZX did well at LeMans as well as other races so it's no surprise they want to recapture some of that glory.
In 1994, the won the 24 hours of LeMans, the 24 hours of Daytona and the 12 hours of Sebring. All with this car here:
