Please note: It would be just as easy for you to leave the thread as it would for "us". You are delusional if you somehow think you are above our antics when you are participating in the same pissing match.

What a ****ing troll. Anyway..,. moving on...

enoc:
Im A New Driver To The Z.my Question Is Do You Really Save On Your Brakes By Down Shifting And If So By How Much?also Can You Hurt Your Clutch By Down Shifting To Much?thanks In Advance!
It doesn't save your brakes that much, you still end up having to use them anyway. Your brakes were made specifically to stop you. Brake pads are cheap and easy to replace when they wear out, so you shouldn't worry about that.

Downshifting shouldn't cause excessive wear on your clutch unless you aren't rev-matching properly. In the case that you aren't doing it right, yes, downshifting a lot will wear out your clutch quicker. (brake pads are much cheaper and easier to replace than clutches)

<Silkk is finally departing the thread and will not return... for fear roast will have a nervous breakdown>

Now you can take any "post-departure jabs" you would like to make yourself feel better.

Ttfn.

This is a waste of time and space, as a joke it was funny but now is getting old. If you want to help new members, answer their questions and then tell them how to search. If you want to think that you have control, then become a Moderator. You are giving this site a very bad reputation.

I wish to nominate this answer as "the stupidest answer to a n00b question". N00bs might not know how to Rev-match or what double-clutching is, but I'm sure they know what their brakes are for.

Then why are they asking if they can replace using the brakes with engine braking? There is nothing stupid or wrong with what I said. Of course it's blatant common sense. I was making a point, you focking tool. I was also the only person to offer him assistance.

More jackasses around here want to make fun of people instead of help people. Some of you people are seriously an embarrassment to the 350z community.
