Love the commercial. Really love the exhaust sounds. Even better though a tunnel.

That's because you're probably young and have been brainwashed by commercial radio your whole life, leading you to believe that Blink 182 is actually good music. It's not your fault.

I think the song serves it's purpose quite well in the commercial: to underscore the emotion of the driving experience at the most basic levels. I also like the contrast of the modern car visuals set to an old folk song (30's or 40's I believe).

It's a fun song for a fun car.

I think that commercial is awesome, the music is a nice juxtaposition to the visuals. The exhaust sounds are awesome. If they would've had some techno music playing or some sheit like that it would've been too cliche`

i think the driving aspect of the commercial is great, although the song doesnt exactly hype me up. I would have prefered a faster more electronic song to go along with it. perhaps a freeze frame with a beat drop, stuff like that gives me butterflies. This song just didnt do it for me. acctually it kinda made me feel like a redneck.

You all know the one I'm talking about, there are different Zs driving around a city (roadster, Track, Nismo, etc.) and there is this stupid, idiotic sing-over with some guy singing "drivin' in my car" in a twangy, "my family tree doesn't branch" kind of way.

This can't be the image that Nissan wants to put out for its flagship sports car. I'm a 30 year old male making a decent living (presumably, the target audience for the Z) and that commercial does not appeal to me or portray me in any way whatsoever.

Sorry for the rant, it's just that every time that commercial comes on (it's especially prevalent during sporting events), I roll my eyes and quickly turn the channel

I thought it was such a goofy song it was actually kind of funny. Leave it to an insecure/image concious Z owner to be offended.

I hate to disappoint you, but nissan did not design this car just for you. If you are worried about image maybe you shouldn't be driving a nissan.

Nissan designed the car for anyone and everyone who likes cheap sports cars that look hot and haul relative ***. Nissan has blatantly said in the past they are pretty much only in the business to MAKE MONEY. Limiting theirself to a certain demographic with their "flagship sportscar" would be like shooting themselves in the foot. I've seen more girls in the Z than guys.

If these goofy commercials mean less people buy the Z just to look cool, I'm all for it.

Actually, the original author of the song (Woody Guthrie) was from a fairly privileged family.

Are we talking about the same commercial? I see a 30-something guy ripping around city streets. Is that not you and me?

Sorry for the rant, it's just that every time that commercial comes on (it's especially prevalent during sporting events), I roll my eyes and quickly turn the channel
What channels are still running this? I have the clip on my computer, but I'd much rather see it on my widescreen again.

That is one of the best car commercials I have seen. Beyond just the sound and visuals, it takes you back to your childhood when you would make the vroom vroom noises and pretended to drive car. Even tho I dont have a Z ( got a G35), after a long day at work, I put that song on, lower the windows and give the engine a good workout, and boy does it make you feel so much better.
