Another, Is this a Good Deal?
After looking for around 3 months now, I have finally found a Z that looks like a pretty good deal, (considering my budget). OK, it's a 2003 Chrome Silver, 6 speed, 38,000 miles, Track Edition. She has had Nissan install a Nav. system and DVD when she bought it new. She had the alignment fixed, but no other issues. No more warranty. The pics show the car to be in excellent condition. Except one thing, the rear bumber has like a small tear/Hole in it. Nothing major, smaller than a fist, but I would still like a new rear bumber on it. (and from what I see on here, I could get one pretty cheap). She is asking 20,500. Sound like a good deal? Thanks for any help
Oh, sorry I posted this first in the buying/leasing section, but I'm kinda in a hurry so I posted it here also. Mods, feel free to delete the other.

Oh yea, I will go and drive it and do my own investigation of it before I buy it. But say that it is in good shape, besides the bumper, I think it's a pretty good deal, what about you guys?

Only issue I have with the 2003 models is the manual transmission... Especially if the warrenty is up... When you test drive it make sure you pay extra attention to the transmission when changing gears...

Whatever you do good luck...

As a matter of fact the warranty is not up, powertrain that is. A trans. should be covered still, 5 yr./60,000 miles. You keep saying SHE, assuming a woman has owned it {hopefully since new}, maybe it's been driven easily. Good luck with your buy.

Well that is great to know, thanks for that. I am offering her an even 20,000 for it. We will see what she says. And now that I look a little closer, the tear is slightly bigger than a fist. I really don't know what to compare it to. But she says it happened while she was parked.

Run a Carfax, but take my word (from experience) that they are not always accurate.
Your best bet would be to drive the car and take it to a good independent Mechanic and have them run a full inspection on the car (visual and diagnostics) They'll probly charge you an hour or so of labor, but it will be WELL worth it in the event that you buy the car.
