Thinking of Buying a 350z
Hey everybody, I'm thinking of buying a 350z and have a few questions to ask you. For one wht milege do you average, consider I will be buying a 6spd, and driving it like a grandma, only flooring it at times. This will be my daily driver, so If you have any pros or cons to list about the car I'll be glad to hear them. I also noticed while test driving it that it seemed to the gear lost its breath at 4500rpm, or maybe I was a a bit nervous having the sales guy next to me. Peace out.
MPG depends on how you drive. Highway/city, spirited/relaxed. Mixed driving I average about 21mpg. I generally don't get any less than that. I can stretch it out to 26-27mpg if I'm really trying.
I'm not quite sure what that means, but that's close to where the fun starts...
I was aprehensive about my first new car purchase. I researched everything I could and finally went through with it. 2 years later - no regrets. Good luck.

um dont think and buy.....its an awsome car........and who cares about gas mileage ur buying a sports car.....if you cant afford gas then buy a hundai and save tons of gas and look like a grandma......its all up to what you want and can afford......i love my z but yeah i do spend quit some money on gas......its ok tho the feeling makes up for it ..... +1 on buying a z.....you will be happy
laugh if you will, i'm going from a civic too a 350z, what i'm asking about the "4500" thing, is that does the powerband powerful through the hole rpm range, if it makes anysense. I just hope it doesn't have only low end torque like some nissans. even though its a sticky, as I understand it only takes 91 premium, correct. thanks for any replies.
If you think the Z has lots of low end torque, wait til you hit 6500 rpm with your foot on the floor. Then you'll realize it doesn't even start making its true power til after 4500. Hold on, smile and enjoy the ride. If you really are concerned about milage, I would not recommend the Z, or any sports car for that matter. True you can squeeze good milage out of a Z but only if driven very conservatively or on long uncongested highway drives. If you want to have fun and aren't going to stress over the gas, dude, get one. I have no complaints.

exactly the power band is very nice mid to high..... i love it! and i went from a del sol vtec to the z so i know exactly what ur talking about....but my sol had a built b16 and it made ok power but the z is way different.....just make sure if you buy it respect it.......its a beast.........and yeah if you cant handle the gas mileage or gas in general buy a comuter car and dont worry about gas.....stick to the civic.....but if you can afford it then by all means buy a z....
If you live in Florida, this will be fine for your daily driver, but don't even think about driving it in a snowy state unless you swap out the tires between November and March.
And as others have said, keep in mind that it takes premium fuel only and be prepared for what that means to your wallet. (Not really that much in the ultimate scheme of things, but figure $45 - $50 a tankful.)
Are you thinking coupe or roadster? Hope you're thinking roadster - this is a wonderful top-down car. Note that the little pocket at the bottom of the driver's door is exactly the right size for a tube of sunscreen!
Mileage: I get around 17 -18 around town, 23-ish on the highway. Mine is only a month old, though, and so far is showing better mileage with every tank.

I just bought my Z. I had a exv6 accord before it. Gas mileage is great on the Z....For the type of car it is. I get on it a lot and i get about 275-300 miles per full tank. Easily 2...So i wouldnt worry about the gas. Its an awesome car and it has a lot of tq but tons of HP 2. look at the stats...287-300 HP! lol. You cant go wrong with the Z. Thats coming from a guy that loved Honda. But the second i drove the Z...Nissan got my heart..lol. Good Luck!
