The catalytic converters were replaced with straight test pipes. I have the same setup and really like it. Eventually, I will add an aftermarket exhaust system. If you want to go back to stock, look for someone who is selling the cats and brackets, preferably in your area since the item is somewhat heavy and a little large.

Check the local forum for catalytic converters for sale. New ones are cost prohibitive.

Sounds the same when idling, even when driving normally. It's when you hit it that the sound gets louder. You only hear the pipes between 3000-4000 rpm.

Hotness. Time to look into that, too. Any recommendations about where to acquire test pipes would be appreciated (and I'm about to do a search, too, I was just already replying to this. )
