Default where is your temp needle point when warmedup?

I was just wondering cause after my car is warmed up, from 5 mins after start up to an hour later after a long drive, my needle gauge is at about 40%, or 10% below the middle area of the gauge. I was just wondering if my z may have had an aftermarket radiator cap or lower thermostat form the previous owner. Not that I am complaining about his I was just wondering.

10% under middle (about 8:30) is like mine.

That sounds about right. I have Nismo radiator cap, and it doesn't
make any difference.

I have a nismo cap too, it helps with the warmup and cooldown

I consider it warmed up when my oil pressure drops to around 65 psi.

A radiator cap cannot affect that.

Well, that's because your is not real nismo, real nismo ones help with warmup, cooldown, and also decreases compression ratio to make it easier when running triple turbonators, and increases octane from 100 to 110 when using diesel fuel, also, it keeps the fuel "down" when your boosting above 36psi...c'mon everyone knows this crap

Just a little FYI...Temp needles on water cooled cars don't tell you anything other than "cold" "normal" and "overheating". As long as the needle is somewhere in the middle, you're fine. They aren't sensitive enough to tell you if your coolant is 170 or 210 degrees. The reason for this is because the "normal" water temp varies with driving conditions and load. Manufacturers dumbed the needles so that dealerships don't have all sorts of people bringing their cars in because their water temp needle moved a milimeter. The only accurate temperature guages are on air-cooled engines because the temp on those can change very rapidly so you need the actual temp info so you don't fry your engine.
