Default How does the two seater Z work out as a primary car?

How would the Z work as out as a primary vehicle? My only worry is just the fast that it only has once passenger seat. I am currently 18 and in college, so I don't have a need for practical car. My current car which I am about to sell for a Z is a 2002 Trans Am WS6, which is also a very impractical car, but it does have a small crappy back seat available. I have only used the back seat about 3 times in the 2 years I have owned it (since no one wants to sit back there), so most of the time it is used as a storage rack since I have nearly no trunk at all when the t-tops are off. So basically my back seat is very seldom used, but it has come in handy before.

So how does the lack of a back seat works out for those of you who have your Z as your only (or primary) car?

Im about to enter college and have the Z as my primary car. At our age we really dont have a lot of stuff to carry arpund so you should be fine. There's enough trunk space for me to put 2 suitcases and my backpaack and what not when i go on small trips. you should be fine and happy with it.

the only thing is sometimes i wish i had a 4 seater. but since 95% the time i am traveling alone or with my gf, it works out perfectly.

does not work fine when you need to move, especially in college. Get a beater along with the z.

I usually just rent a uhaul when I need to move, so moving isn't a concern for me.

Think I'd rent a car to pull a Uhaul instead of using Z.

The Z actually has a fair amount of storage space as long as your not putting large hard suitcases in.

BTW its referred to a daily driver. Yes it works because you make it work. Groceries go on the passenger seat floor. With a bit of ingenuity, you can fit 190cm skis inside. When friends ask to bum a ride say Sorry but I’ve got just one extra seat.

If anytime a 350Z would work, it would be at college and being single. If you cant make it work then, you better start thinking of giving up and buy a SUV or minivan. Bottom line is if you got a car with a lot of seating, everyone will want to jump in it. Get the Z and when it comes to needing more than 2 seats, jump in your friends car. In the mean time, you got a fun car to ride in.

I'm single, no kids and live alone...works great. I used to have a Maxima, it's great to no longer have the car that everybody piles into when going out.

I don't have kids so it's fine. My wife hates how loud it is with the exhaust but that's it, .

That is probably the one thing I love about the Z. I never have to be DD when everyone goes out to the bar.

classic example was yesterday my friends were stranded after clubbing at 4 am. last resort they called me and i had to make some phone calls to get a vehicle large enough to pick up all 3 of them. needless to say my other friends arent too happy i called soo damn late or early but yea it doesnt happen that often.

I think its great only having one seat, if you NEED to put two people if the trunk is empty it will work really well haha, if they are small at least, not any fat *** sloots who are jus gonna break your hatch when you close it, i mean slam it;-)

it works OK for me, since my son is my only passenger and I rarely carry anything in my car except groceries but when I need to move just rent out a u-haul truck or a buddy's truck

The Z is a great daily driver.

Just get the cargo nets for the trunk. And I always keep a jacket or sweatshirt in the car so I can put things (beer) on the front seat without them flying all over the place while driving.

I thought gettin' a 2-seater would be an issue... I have absolutely no complaints or regrets. I am single and in college... 2-seaters are great to take a girl out on a date... they love them. The only time that the 2-seater becomes a problem is when alot of my firends want to go out... but for me, thats actually a plus because I don't want to have alot of people in my car. I can jus' sit back and say, "sorry guys, I only seat two" and choose the hottest girl to come with me, or jus' say "i'll leave my car at your house, you guys take me."
