Default trying to figure out this ecu thing

ok, well i have a few mods for na and after being on this site for awhile i keep hearing that ppl sometimes loose hp for their mods. so obviously they need to be tuned. what is a good tuner that has a easy interface. i have searched and pretty much found out that there is no chips for this car. a unichip keeps coming up but i cant really find out what it does besides change af ratios. well if i got a emanage wouldnt i be able to do the same but more cause im tuning it instead of it being preset or am i missing something. sorry im asking some newb questions but ive been tryin to search but i cant find straight up answers so can some one help me out.
1. is the unichip worth it and can i tune through it
2. would i be better off with a emanage to tune my car for my mods
3. should i just get a reflash (wherever the hell you get one)
4. is the utec worth it on a na car or should i just get a emanage.
5. is there a controller for the emanage so i can tune it on the fly say for the strip?
dont flame me up, just trying to spend my money on the right things

At this time I don't see a point for tuning of any type.

You are running intake and exhaust, that's it. If you can tune for 5 additional peak horsepower, that's too high a $/horsepower value. For performance, there at better ways to spend your money i. e. plenum spacer, test pipes...

I didn't say that.

Most likely your air:fuel ratio is good. Don't know without a dyno. Right now we are guessing what a tune might do. A typical flash might get you 0 or 5 hp and cost about $400. Too much money IMHO.

^^^get a dyno to find out what your a/f is. most likely your fine since you don't have test pipes or a spacer yet. decide what your end goal is. if you plan on going FI later I'd say go ahead and make the investment in a UTEC. if you plan on only doing bolt on's and you want to get your a/f corrected, then either do ALL your bolt on's and then get a custom reflash (technosquare should have the rev-up flash ready by then) or get an emanage blue or ultimate.

Most would agree that you get all your N/A breathing mods done first then UTEC and tune. Otherwise you will be paying for retunes.

Utec will allow for A/F and timing tuning on an N/A car. Plus if you go F/I you will be able to use the Utec for that with an upgrade and new tune.

In view of how my ECU behaves (relearning things that don't need to be relearned performance wise), I would definitely go for a standalone like the UTEC
