Tiburon vs. Z. Why is this even a decision point?

actually i've been a honda guy for ever. when it was time for me to get a new car, my choice was between the 2006 civic Si or a used 2003 touring Z. i have no regrets of getting the Z, and i could picture myself getting bored of the civic after a while.

Z.

Tibby has awesome looking interior and a cool body style. But when it comes to liability and performance the Z is the way to go. The Tib is almost 2 seconds slower! The Hyundai needs a badd *** warranty because it is a hyundai! Guarantee your Nissan will outlast!

Seriously did you think a 350 forum would recommend a Tib. over a Z at any cost?

If you are worried about getting a used car than save another $8000 and get a new base model. Duh!

with no offense to Tibby drivers

one of my firends has a tibby. it is, in my opinion, a decent car... however, like someone else has already said, I would rather pay for my Z than drive a free tibby. the tibby is a psuedo-sports car in that it has the looks of a sports car but lacks performance. Understanding that the Z is not the fastest car on the road by any means, (it is actually quite slow) but the Z has at least the power to dominate 95% of the cars on the road and get you where you need to be faster and safer. The Tibby lacks that, it simply gets you where you need to go at the same speed with the same safety as the old ladies caddy next to you. That is just my opinion.

Find a good used Z that hasn't been beatn' to death, buy it, enjoy it, and you will never regret it.

What's the trade in value of the Tib? I'm not totally sure but I'm pretty sure you get raped when you drive it off the lot. The Z will hold its value if you treat it right...go with the Z man you will thank yourself (and us) later

As per www.kbb.com , used 2004 Tibby vs. used 2004 Z, comparably equipped:

Trade in value:
Tibby: $12,000
Z: $20,000

Obviously most here will say the Z.

Personally, regardless of new/used warranty/no warranty (you can purchase a 48/4 warranty with a used Z, I did), I would say the Z. Thats because I absolutely hate FWD, and it shouldn't be used on any car that is considered anything close to sport/performance. Not to mention, that value on that Tiburon will fall fast when you drive it off the lot, whereas the Z won't, as much.

durghhhh!!!!!! no contest

get a brand new tiburon.... the Z sucks in the twisties so the tiburon will out handle the Z with minor suspension upgrades.

The tiburon looks better, seats 4 and is brand new with better warranty!!!

only thing that makes the Z better than a tiburon is that it is factory turboed, 300 horses to the wheels is much more than the 276 horses to the wheels the tiburon has.

anyways, its your choice, but i'd get a tiburon because its new

That video was hilarious. The driver should have known that was going to happen though, with lousy handling FWD and the bump was a bit larger than it looked.

And, I am hoping uncutz00 is mocking the original poster with that post, lol.
