i got this car three days ago... 6th gear is making this noises if i gas a lil, sounds like bad synchro. this only happen when i gas it. any idea guys? thanx

Synchros make noise as you change gears.....not when in gear. Your RPMs are probably just low when you shift into 6th.

Then you'll have to do a better job at describing the problem as opposed to telling us what you think it is. That or take it to the dealership.

hmm i only use 6th gear when im going above 60mph. i never go to 6th when im on surface streets and i like to keep my rpms at around 3000 when i drive, so i can access good powerband when i need it

i throw into 6th around 45mph and gas it up to 50 or up... it's when i gas i hear this weird noise almost like something is grinding

Do your RPMs dip below 2000 when you do this?

you dont need to take it that easy, jus stay under 4k but theres no need to go into sixth at 45

That's your problem them. You are in too high of a gear for the load. It's normal.

I cruise in 6th@40mph. I have a non-revup though.

lol good one.... when I have my ***** to the wall I usually shift to 6th around 143mph when 5th gear runs out...

haha, i try to shift at ~6400 though... that way i dont train myself to get anywhere close to the limiter if i ever need to race... practice makes perfect.lol

At about 60 I'll throw it in 6th if I feel like cruising and if I get the urge for an adrenaline rush, then I stick with 5th.

... Just kidding... Well it depends.. Sometimes I put into 6th when the rev is somewhere around 3,500 rpm... I also try to take it easy on my car... In speed wise its about 60-65... I find that being okay... not really working the engine too hard but still decent power
