More Questions:

a) Is there an "overdrive" feature?
Is it on both 35th and touring?
Where is it located in the Cabin?

b) Do all automatics come in "Tiptronic?"

c) Are the "Brembo brakes" worth it?

The touring and 35th seem pretty close, is there any reason to go with one over the other?

Are you talking about 05 Touring ? Yes, brembos are worth it, unless you plan on getting bigger brakes, but brembos saved my *** at least twice since i got the car, if you're talking about 03-05 touring, they have the 287hp engines, 35th + 06 mt come with the 300hp rev up...

 

A.) Yes, they are all 5 speed automatics. Yes, you can get an automatic in both touring and 35th anniv. It is the 5th gear...not button to push.

B.) Yes.

C.) Not unless you go to the track. For normal street use, the standard brakes are sufficient.

D.) Get the 35th if you like the wheels, Brembos, and the extra color options for the interior.

 

1) All Autos come in Overdrive when in D. If you slide the shifter over to the right (manumatic,) it will allow u to control the shifts. In addition, if the car is in 5th gear and you shift over, it will automatically downshift to 4th. That is the same as pushing the "overdrive" button on other autos.

3) I have an '06 touring. I do not have brembo brakes. However, I have never once needed to use my brakes 100%. I find the stock breaks more-than-sufficient for everyday driving. In fact, I prefer the stock brakes over the Brembos because if something jumps out in front of you and you slam on the brembo brakes, you WILL stop before you hit it.... however, the cars behidn you don't have brembo brakes, and will smash right into you. I prefer to limit myself by having the stock brakes, so I still have the stopping power if I need it, and not have to worry about stopping too quickly and getting rear ended.

 

The braking power of both are actually pretty close. The Brembos are more fade resistant. You will notice the difference if you were really using the brakes often (track days).

Brembos saved my butt on the track, but I'd never brake that hard (or drive that hard) in street/city driving. Yay to no brake fade.

In regular driving, the stock brakes should be sufficient.

 

Wow! Thanks guys. I found a yellow 2005, but it's not 35th aniversary.
So I'm trying to break down the two vehicles. In the automatic, the engine is 287hp, even for 35th aniversay automatic.
Bremo brakes are quite a bit more expensive then the regular breaks.

So basicly, other than the rims and some 35thAniversay floor mat stiching, the vehicles are the same. RIght?

 

If you are talking AT only, add Brembo brakes and then the answer is yes .

If you are talking MT add Brembo and 300HP rev up engine vs 287HP for AT.

 

Get the A/T w/o the Brembo brakes... you don't sound like you're ganna be using it on the track and the extra $$$ you spend on Brembos could be spent on aftermarket mods
