You can strip that film off there.

Try using a plastic polish by 3M you may be able to get rid of it. I can't see how the film would actually crack the lense.

I cant see the film doing it either, but im positive it wasnt there before. Maybe it attracts to much heat for the plastic.

Are you sure its cracks and not just adhesive on the lens? I don't see how it would crack the headlight either...

I've had these headlights apart more times than most people and I can tell you they didn't crack from heat. Honestly, I don't see how they could have cracked from anything to do with the tint either. Heat is not an issue with our headlight housings, there is a check valve in the back of them that lets air out if the pressure builds up in the housing. Post up some pics so I can see what they are like and I will be able to give you better feedback. I've had these headlight in ovens up to 275.....no melting, no cracking, no warping. The lenses are pretty tough. Shoot me a pm when you have pics.

....also, let me know if you want to get rid of them. I don't care what shape the lens is in, I want them for the backs.

That's all really strange, it's random but it does appear thet the overlays have the potential to do this, I wouldn't have thought they could. It's almost like it happens at random with or without the over lays but, with the overlays, it's like it speeds up the process on what would have happend eventually.

I'd pull those overlays off and get it to the dealership to get them replaced before this becomes a bigger issue and Nissan finds a reason to not replace them.
