If you cut VDC off, it does it pretty easily.

even in warm temps I can easily make the back end step out, chirping is left to 3rd.

Spinning tires in second is very doable. I can chirp in 3rd well too. Spinning in 3rd is possible when cold/wet.

you have to power shift to chirp third or spin 2nd. but you can chirp 2nd with straight power. in wet conditions you can be doing 10mph in 1st, step on it, and the tires will spin, dont even have to be in the power band.

but yeah, the Z has a bit more force behind everything, for example, the Z has 200ftlbs at 2000RPMs, while the S2000 has only like 156 ftlbs MAX. also the extra mass of the V6, with a heavier flywheel, ect. leads to a bit more UMPH when you power shift.

On cold tires, foot off clutch, @ 4000 rpm in 2nd gear...

If I gun the throttle, the tires spin wildly. Lotsa' torque, not enough traction. Stook is completely different car.

In cold, If I am slowly cruising in second at 3000rpm and then floor it, the VDC kicks in, I see "slip" light up and feel it slide and correct. Doesnt have to be a power shift...or even a shift for that matter

IMO, you don't even have to powershift to get it to spin in 2nd. I shifted into 2nd a few minutes ago under 6000 rpm, and it still made the VDC kick in, and I didn't power shift (I assume you are meaning not letting off the gas at all when clutching).

IMO, though, this engine seems to hold its RPMs for a bit after you let off the gas. I don't know if it is a heavy flywheel, or just the fact I haven't daily driven a performance car with a MT in awhile and am forgetting how other cars I've driven in the past have performed.

funny this was brought up.... i haven't really punched my car until this past weekend... i decided to wait until i hit at least 2,000 miles before i tested to see how much potential the z had... and so, with confidence i can say that the z does chirp from 1st to 2nd easily (i even had vdc on)... i took it up to 6000 rpms before i shifted, and i felt the rear end come out... clearly, it was one of the most exhilirating experiences ever!

Nismo is going to release a lighter one. It just seems to take a bit longer than some cars I've driven for the RPMs to drop off when you are at high RPMs already. I may be totally off base, as I've said.

My tires were fully warmed. I was in manual mode. Shifted to 2nd when the rpm went over 5000. I felt the back end going to the side! Kind of scared me. Ahh the low to mid end torque..is impressive for a 3.5 v6.

I can barely hold third in this 30 degree weather. Even if I'm in the gear, if I floor it bye bye traction.
