Default bugs left on front of my 350z

first of all, I know its impossible to get rid of the marks left by bugs over long periods of times. It's like they have eattin at the paint and left bug spots. It makes my car always look dirty. I'm asking if anyone knows something i could use on the car to at least hide some of these marks. Most of them are on my front bumber, but a few are on the hood.

I also have something that looks almost like a paint spot on the hood, this may just be a large bug left on the hood or something.

I just pisses me off. I guess its what i get for buying a used car and not throughly checking it. I kinda lucked off with the rest of the car, its in pretty good condition.

Thanks for the help.

The front of my 350z is killed with paint/bug chips after 3 years of driving...

The best choice is to repaint the front end and get some 3M "Clear Bra" put on there. The bugs won't damage this and your front end will look new like always. This is a pricey solution, however...

Maybe someone in the Cleaning and Detailing forum can recommend something to help ease the pain for less than the $700 of solution A.

As long as you haven't waxed over teh bug spots they are not impossible to get off. A little Meguires Quick Detailer and some elbow grease and they will come off. I had some nasty bug indentions in my truck before i sold it 2 weeks after it being driven and no hand wash for almost a year. I took it to my dad and within an hour he had the bugs gone. Now if you'v waxed over then....they are there for good.

unfortunatly I've waxed over them because i was told it might help to get them off. I might still try to bring it to a detail place to see if they can get them off. I can't hurt.

Thanks for the suggestions.

If you've waxed over them, just remove the wax, remove the bugs, rewax?

The best and esaiest way to remove bugs from your bumper is dryer sheets. Wet down a couple of dryer sheets ans rub the bugs off with them. The fabric softener in the sheets will make quic work of removing the bugs.

Use bug and tar remover to remove the bugs.

Then use a clay-bar kit to remove the surface contaminents from the clear coat.

Then re-wax.

yea the dryer sheet works awesome, just wet the front bumper and wipe it down before you wash your car and it takes all the stubborn stains and ish off the front easily

Make sure you wax your car often. This will make it more difficult for bugs to hit the actual paint and easier to remove.

Alot of times after washing the car bugs will still be stuck on the bumper. Use this product called "Bug Off" by P & S. While washing your car spray this on the bumper. Let it sit for a minute and spray it off with full on the hose. Most of the bugs should fall right off. After go over it with your soap and glove.

Here is a link to the product http://www.pssales.com/products/soaps.html

I have been using this for years. My dad is big on detailing cars and all he uses is p&s, bottles and bottles of different stuff. If you can find this anywhere, it is great!
