This is why I added the JWT spacer so it holds 6qts. It is more of a cooling thing but does help give me a little more peace of mind.

Yeah... that'd be me. 4 3/4 quarts after 3200 miles on the first oil change. Not leaking, not burning, not smoking... not anything. It straight up vanished. I would've been pissed about the oil if the BBB hadn't ruled that the car randomly not starting was a little bit of a safety hazard and Nissan had to replace or buy back the car because of it. 20+ no starts in the first 3k miles on a brand new 06 is just nuts.

The BBB Autoline is set up with the consumer in mind as long as you present your case well enough. Something to keep in mind for anyone really running through oil.

And honestly, as fun as the car was to drive for the short time I had it, I will likely never buy another Nissan again. I'm sure I had a one in a million electrical problem, but the car really was a nightmare.

have them change the oil run it hard till its bone dry, blow the engine then have them replace it. Your problem will be documented and they performed the oil change.

Jeez problems like this make me glad Im getting rid of my Z (#2) before I start having these issues. On both of them I havent comsumed a bit. Guess Im a lucky one. Im really puzzled though as to why these issues are so scattered and "random". Improper break-in? Looser tolerances? A "Friday car"?

See the thing is this, there are 4 guys and only 4 guys in Japan that put all of the 350Z's together.

One of those guys doesn't care about his job.

Nissan of japan has since fired that guy, so the 2007 models will all be fine.

Last I heard he is getting a job working at Ford.

That is not too horrible. From what I have heard that's not enough for Nissan to give you a new engine.

Honestly I wish my car wasn't burning so much oil. The oil idea of having some kid yanking my motor out and droping in a new one scares the sheet out of me.

I just know the car is going to get scratched or dented in some way, inside and or out. Which is another reason my my new 19's are still sitting next to my TV
