Anyone of you guys seen the Amuse 350. I know that thing is putting way over 300whp(around 350 I think) and they did that with heads, cams, pistons, con-rods, pullies, and bolt-ons and their EMS. No stroker kit. Don't have a link but I have seen their S2K and that thing goes like crazy. Also Richie from Australia is at like 330whp with his NA Z. His Z makes more power than the Nismo RS concept. So I dont think 400whp is out of the question. I am sure with ITB's storker kit and all the parts 360+ is possible. Yeah it may be more $$$ than going FI, but it's alot more reliable than going turbo and imagine revving the VQ past 8k.

Where is uncutZoo to make one of his remarks. I enjoy some of his commentary.

Not arguing the 100+HP claim because I haven't seen it, but I know what I pulled and my personal experience.
I dunno if the Dastek dyno can be corrected to read like other dyno's but Ive heard from VERY reputable vendors about how some guys dyno on Dasteks then go to DYnojets and dyno WAY lower. It wasnt your experience but if that dyno has the ability to make corrections I wouldnt rule it out....the way that dyno reads power makes every car look like its peak power is at redline when its not, I wouldnt even waste my money on that thing.....

+1
I wouldn't say my Unichip is worthless but Dastek definitely embellishes their gains.
I dynoed my roadie on a Mustang dyno (supposedly pretty reputable) and got 239 hp at the wheels (bone stock). With the Unichip and nothing else I got 243 whp. Dastek claims Unichip alone should give you 5-9% increase of bhp that's 14 to 26 extra bhp.
I'm still keeping it though ... incase I want future mods. Supposedly the Unichip is more efficient with an CAI and Cat/backs.

if a 1.6 B16A/B can make 200 at wheel, I don't see how a built high rev 3.5 liter can't hit the 400 mark. sure with a 4.3 lit stroker kit would make it easier..

If the Infiniti 3.5L motor used in the IRL can make close to 700 hp in NA form, the VQ 3.5 should be able to make over 400 hp. Streetability would be the issue not whether it could make the power. If you had the money you could build custom heads with a pneumatic valves system to handle the biggest cams you can make and spin the motor to 16,000+ rpm.

My buddy was out at AEBS here in San Diego, and he said that they were in the process of making a stroker kit, I believe 4.3L, and it was gonna be around 400bhp. I'll try to find out more.

I went to Street Speed just in mansfield south of arlington... they said the AEBS stroker kit was already out... 4.3L they suggested to match that up with FI and high HP would not be a problem...

i know this is about NA though... i don't see why getting our VQ to 400 would be a problem either, just expensive...

but according to the turbonator site... with three turbonators in your intake you can make 391 BHP!!! only 9 more to go... exhaust, intake, and plenum/spacer and your there... lol

guys.... look, the vq was never intended to be a high performance engine. before they put the vq35 engines in our cars, they were originally going to use them in their milk delivery trucks. Yes, you heard me, Nissan was going to start a milk delivery business, but it failed early on because people in japan don't drink milk.
