400whp N/a Z
People with money stop going FI and invest in NA. That way poor people like me can reap the benefits once the cost goes down. And how can anyone say 300whp isnt attainable. Why? cause Nismo R-cams dont put you there or because JWT's dont. Maybe if there were more than 2 or three options and people porting their heads along with valve jobs and what nots 300whp would've been easily done by now. But FI is much easier and in the long run cheaper. So to each his own but 400whp will happen just a matter of when, not if.

Now we're talking 400WHP? I just don't see it happening for less than several, several , many, many, multitidues of thousands of $ks.

300whp is by no means hard to reach in these engines and the cost of the build could be done for about the price of a supercharger kit. Of course it will be with high compression pistons (possible race gas usage), but the engines are definitly capable of it and 400whp more than likely. It is a matter of money and if you want to run race gas or not.
My point was more "let's see some 300WHP NA Z's before we start looking 100WHP past that." I think both can be done but it's def not common by any means.
I found 1 page and can't read a word...and see no numbers.

Someone else on this board has actually gone over 300 rwhp but they needed a bump in compression and some cams to do it. I know you can come close to the 300 mark without the higher compression but I don't think you can pass it without sacrificing streetability. Seems like the limiting factor is the intake system.

What most here don't understand is that without increasing displacement, making NA power becomes exponentially more difficult to pull out of a motor the higher you go. With all of the hours spent on R&D to build a vq35 to spec to make over 350 all-motor whp, you will have spent enough to have bought another 350z altogether ($30-40k+). It's not like you're going to log on to a website and buy enough bolt-ons to get you there. This is going to require some extensive custom work and trial and error, which is EXPENSIVE (unless you own your own machine shop and have a lot of free time).
With a forced induction setup, you're completely forgoing this obstacle by compressing more air into the same allotted space within the combustion chamber. You want more power, then just turn up the boost.

You couldn't have looked too hard. http://www.webamuse.co.jp/new/20050826/350z_0508.html
Go right to the bottom where it says Z33 CPV35

Actually the highest hp amuse offers is 249hp, not whp.

lol
Yes I meant 349.
OK.. I've made 303whp on the Z back in the Day. All mtor I Had the stock intake, with K&N drop in, had AAM spacer, Headers, Test pipes, Y-Pipe, Exhaust, Jimwolf Wolf clutch and flywheel, Technosquare U1 ECU Flash and some more tunining with SAFC, along with some C16.. about 117 octane, NGK Spark Plugs, **** even threw in the ground wires and hypervoltage wires.. I really dnt remember but i was all about it.. spent like 5G's not worth it guys.. really.. if you crave power just save those 5G's and buy them twins and BTW this was done on a revup..
