Default 400whp N/a Z

I seen in some of the super street mag's and other import performance mag's that theres a race to get to a 400+ whp all motor Z.

I was just wondering if anyone has any updates on how the progress is comming for this kinda power with no turbo/supercharger adds?

I heard theres a shop in CAL somewhere thats damn near 400whp but not there yet! O and who seen the Z was rated number one for modifications in Modified Mag, theres a bright red z on the cover, and theres alot of good imput for building your z.

I need some proof. Maybe 400bhp but not whp. People are having enough trouble getting to 300whp. Only a couple have "supposedly" done it.

I think the article refered to all the tuner companies in Japan in the race to 400+whp NA Z33. I also saw the mention of Top Secret's ITB's for the Z33 which cost over $6K. It looks pretty cool you can check it out here..........

Hell if they can get that to the wheels without F/I then that Supercharged Z Nissan is talking of will be um a waste of time imo.

sure it's possible... ever heard of stroker kit + individual throttle bodies combo? a rsx type s can put down 300+whp with toda stroker kit+itb+kpro+basic bolt ons... i know i know fwd don't lose as much hp from crank to wheel, but i think it's possible for z33 to reach 400whp, well at least close to it...

keep in mind... NA costs a lot more than FI, stroker kit alone cost more than aps twin turbo kit, not to mention the rest of parts.

That is BS. How do they know it will produce 100hp more if the crank is still in development? Also they use a cracked out dyno (Dastek-extrapolated #'s) that reads WAY high....not doubting they can build a stroker or do good work, but their claims are overinflated out the a$$....

FALSE on reading WAY high... My baseline is 227whp/221tq on that Dyno... most of you guys pull what, 240's on a Dynojet?

With mods inc. tuned Unichip... I'm at 252whp/236tq. 12.8 AF Stock exhaust and cats.

Not arguing the 100+HP claim because I haven't seen it, but I know what I pulled and my personal experience.

Yeah if any of you guys have not picked up that issue....do it. It has a TON of Z coverage.....plus a sick G coupe and a Z32.....Plus they give accolades to the Z throughout.

I'd never say it's impossible to get 400 NA, since 300 whp was laughable, 3 years ago and people are getting pretty close. I guess if you bore the engine to like 6 liters, all the mods will jive better. You prolly need 8 inch tall plenum spacers, 8500 rpm and a bigger turbonator.
