Default Is the NAVI touch screen?

The nav in my CL is touch screen and I was wondering the the stock navi in the 350 was as well. I did not order the navigation with my car but I plan to put one in. I wonder if you can by touch screen lcds that will fit in that slot.

If by touch you mean buttons and a joy stick then yes. If by touch you mean the screen no.

Best I can figure is cost. For it to be almost 2 grand and not have the touch screen feature I could just imagine how much it would be with it.

Maybe BOSE wanted to put their name on it? I can't say but some people around here have done awesome things with that nav area and they seem to be a million times more functional than the stock nav...but I still love mine.

How so. The stock Nav is very functional.

The Navi on the Z does not have a touch screen. It works fine, but it does take more time to enter information using only the joystick. I have a touch screen on my 3.2TL and was expecting the same on the Z since they mentioned it in the early on-line descriptions.

I like the bird's eye view and some of the quick information features on the Z Navi, but entering information can get frustrating. On the 3.2TL system, you can enter destinations while driving. Have to pull over and stop for the Z system - much safer, I suppose, but a bit annoying.

Kinda makes me think the best way to go is aftermarket for the nav. For the CL/TL its best to go with the factory install because of the touch screen and how it is built into the dash and replaces the nasty looking AC controls.

Intrepid,

Function as in DVD player, PS2 connection, MP3 Player, etc. OK maybe not a million times but more function either way.

You can enter a destination while driving as long as it's already in your address book.
