I went through 5 options when I bought my z. RSX type s, S2000, RX8, MR2 spyder, and the 350z. As I am 6'3" some of the options were easily eliminated. Ended up with a Z. I recently grew a little guilty about putting too many miles on my Z so i picked up a 2000 civic si as a daily driver.

I sometimes wonder what life would be like had i chosen the S2000. It would be great to have a convertible here in socal. It just isn't as practical of a daily driver as the Z is. I still wish I had one though.

Oh and the Z roadster wasn't even an option, the S2000 looks sexy with the top up or down, and you can get a hardtop as a $500 option. The roadster just doesn't do it for me with the top up.

rx8 is slow and i dont like the styling as much as the Z. S2000 is nice, but the interior is completely shot and i didnt want a convertible.

my choices were 350z, supra, rx-7, evo9 and a very very old nsx. and i dont regret getting the z

I went through the S2000, ZR and Z coupe...pretty much what it came down to was the Z and the S2k...i'm not a huge fan of the ZR with the top up but wow...it's hot with the top down...anyways the S2k was fun and nibble but there was no room for anything!!! Good choice on the Z! I never looked back

Thought about a few times too. I made a deposits down on a few S2000, but decided not too cause the long commute to work with the car changed my decisioin.

Convertible in socal is a must!!!

my original options were Jeep wrangler, lexus is 300, infiniti g35, nissan 350z, s2000.

i chose the 350z beause the wrangler sucked in the twisties, the lexus is300 sucked in the straights, and the s2000 made me feel a bit like a fruit.

i considered the Crossfire...but they weren't being mass produced yet at the time i got my z ('03)...considered waiting but a year was just too long so i jumped into the z. i love the crossfire convertible...test drove one last year, but it's still no Z. the z feels like a brick, and the crossfire feels like jelly...

Drove both a S2000 and RX8. Neither one did much for me. On the way home decided to drive a Z roadster. Two blocks down the road and I knew I found my new car. Now I own an Interlagos Fire coupe and truely enjoy driving it.

Well I like most... S2K, RX8, 350Z, Evo, Sti, and RSX Type S... Started with the S2K... the interior was wayy to small and the controls were Kind of weird in my book... NEXT... RX8... Interior's even more weird than the S2K... NEXT... 350Z... test drive and all... Loved it... Drive home with it an hour later XD... Sad... I'm starting to wish I would have at least test drove the Evo or the Sti... but Oh well... I have a Z and I love it!!

When I got the Z I was looking at the g35c, IS300 and the 350z... all used. The g35c's all were much more expensive and the insurnance on the IS300 was ALOT more than the Z.

The Roadster is my 'second' car and it is GREAT to have one in So. Cal...Nothing like having an open run accross Orega Hwy with the top down in the early morning hours..or out towards Palm Desert, or any mountain road out here, or cruisin' the coast in San Diego, Laguna, or Newport. Top down all the way!!!
