The supercharged 350Z GT-S concept goes from the standard 296 hp to an impressive 380 hp, and gets an uprated suspension and brakes to go with the extra power.

296?????

Interesting... can you say roots blower? (much like the stillen kit)

I'm interested in seeing what other mods there are to support this.

What surprises me the most is that they'd offer a supercharged 350z so close to the release of the GTR.

Maybe not, it is all about the marketing. It might be a high level bate and switch.
"Oh here is the GTR, wait, what? you can't afford $80g's Hmmm....OH you know I have this $49,000 Z with high performance" ....
I agree i want to see what they add to it.....
Just my $.02

WTF Nissan might actually make limited production models of these concepts. Thats ****ing awesome. about damn time they start coming out again with forced induction factory cars. Now if only Nismo starts to offer a similar package for the United States.

I seriously doubt Z would ever go that high in price. That's what it killed it the last time around. A high-performance, higher priced model in addition to the regular line-up, on the other hand, does have a market.

Oh your right, they would keep the current line up but bring in a higher priced SC/TC version with a few bells and whistles for those of us longing for the GTR but realizing the check book would catch on fire!!

The real question is what internal motor mods were made on this SC VQ and could it be bolted on to our existing Z's without modding the internals????

It drives me off the Fuking wall when people say this...the GTR will sell no matter what kind of a high powered Z nissan has out on the lot at the time. The GTR will be a low volume car and it will come with a waiting list.Nissan will have no problem selling this car and Nissan knows this

It would be nice if they can keep the price low unlike the previous FI Z's.

+1

even at 380hp it would a hard sell at 50k... I think i could stomach $10k over a equally optioned NA Z but I fear this car will be 45-55 if it ever comes out.

What would be an interesting twist is if it was offered ala Scion-like. For X amount of dollars bring your Z in and get a factory warrantied TC/SC.

UK are RHD like Aus so this supercharger kit should be interesting

since its a concept i highly doubt Nissan would spend the money engineering and developing their own supercharger kit, theyd just outsource it to a UK company - which means that company will eventually offer the kit to the public

this wouldnt be a Nissan Japan power-up, it wouldnt make its way out of UK

Default 3.7

Another sign that the next Z is unlikely to be a 3.7 liter.

along with the 3.5 liter 07' g35.

Just because there may be a supercharged Z doesn't mean ALL Z's that come out of the factory in the future will be supercharged, because FI costs more to make. If Nissan makes this Z, it would be sweet, but there will likely be N/A versions aswell, so the 3.7L engine is still a great possibility. It would be awesome if that N/A engine gets an 8K redline though.
