so i only took a minute to google this, but i saw a bunch of different test times for '03s and '06s. '06s ranged from 5.8 to 5.6 0-60 and '03s were from 5.7 to 5.4. A few articles discussed the whole weight increase issue over the '03s and the increased horsepower, indicating that it wasn't faster, but also that it wasn't any slower. i have no idea which one is really fastest, but it would actually be a pretty sick race to see an '03 track vs. '06 track. regardless of the victor, i'll take improvements of the '06 anyday. just my 2 cents

What i seem to notice is that most of the 06 owners tend to think that the 06 models are faster due to the increase in HP (they forgot they lose torque). However i dont see too many of em runing below 14s in the 1/4. Infact i havent seen/read any run below 14s (100% bone stock)
But like alberto said any Z year (03-06) it's a drivers race.

If you're being serious, there are a lot faster times than mine, granted they're on slicks/drag radials with lots of mods and with much better conditions. Check the drag racing forums.
edit - I just realized that you were in TX. So, if you're asking how I managed those times in our sh1tty TX weather with street tires... I guess I just practiced (been to the drag strip a total of 5 times, I think).

The 2003 Touring model had a curb weight of 3239.
The 2003 Touring model had a curb weight of 3380.
Both of those with 5AT so the same engine and horsepower.

I believe that there are certain "freak Z's" though. What years? I don't know. I have an early 03 and when dynoed at AAM during their bbq, I put down similar if not slightly higher numbers than more modded Z's on that same day. And all I had on the car was an AEM intake and a Greddy Evo Exhaust, and I put it on the dyno with the 20's.
