Yes, that doesn't make any sense.

Well, let`s see, the Z has been putting on weight every year and I am not sure but I heard that the 03 and the early 04, you could reprogram the ECU for higher performance as to you colud not on the 04.5 an on ....

the Z added weight every year...the 06 is a pig compared to the 03...they kept added amenities and luxuriousness when they should've kept it pure sport

OK, those are good points, but didn't they also improve the engine to make more hp in the 05's and 06's? (287 up to 300 now)

Wouldn't that make up for a few more pounds of weight?

(Still a newbie and still learning, thanks)

They rev up motor added horsepower but dropped torque. Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races.

...and only people who don't understand the difference between horsepower and torque make statements like that.

+1

Also factor of area under the tq curve and not just peak. HP figure is derived from TQ anyway. Although the 06 is the heaviest which would be more a factor on this. 2 gallons of gas and me weigh a max of a 150 lbs not to woried about it.

I have no feathering issues whatsoever and i weigh under 3200lbs. I also like having 14 more ft/lbs. of torque rather than 13hp. I got that hp back with the spacer anyways and gained torque as well.

yes, the non rev up motor has the flux capacitor, and the 03 is lighter and the wheels fold under the wheel wells faster during flight mode; 03 for the fastest win!!!

200+ lbs more weight is not a few more pounds of weight. it's a lot of weight to overcome.
