BTW, people.. seriously.. stfu. The Zs are all about the same. Your Z is nothing special. Stop saying one's faster than the other, who has more of what, etc. It's a ****in driver's race. And don't repeat what you just read about it being a driver's race.

If you really think yours is faster because for whatever reason (you beating GTOs and Porsches, being an 03, being an 06, having MREV2, Canadian version, etc), you need to prove it. Until then, please keep your noob comments to yourself. BTW, this forum's full of ppl that have the same ****, if not more, as you.
I don't know if some of this was posted in response to my post, but I was trying to add a helpful comment to compare my experience of the power characteristics of an 03 versus an 06 as I owned both.

As it has been stated here many times, the difference is negligable and it will be a drivers race. To me, the more important difference are the differences in the power band and how that affects daily driving.

My comment about the MREV2 is meant to show that it is a mod that gives the best of both worlds IMO (03 low/mid range + 06 top-end). Personally, I care more about how it feels driving around town than if I'm faster than someone's 03 or 06 here.

I'd estimate that in a race, it would come down to a drivers race. I recently added the MREV2 and spacer, so I feel like I have the best of both worlds now. The TQ from the 03 and the higher-end pull of the 06.

Lastly, to those commenting about the "bug-eye" headlights, I don't mind the look at all, but what is important to me is that they are FAR superior to the 03 in regards to brightness and illumination distance. I'll take them over the 03 anyday due to that.

+111111, that is exactly what I noticed also, I miss my 03 leather seats though! Ohh and the retract dash cubby door...HUGE! I hate how it just sticks out in the 06

Since we're at least 8 hrs apart, we can't do anything. However, I would love for you to go to a drag strip and time your car. Be aware that we won't get the awesome times that the people in the eastern states are getting due to our conditions. Good luck and I'll be looking forward to your time slips.

No problem man...should hit the tracks in abou 2 weeks...need to get school over. As for davidv i'll be shure to post my time up there if its good...haven't hit the track in about 1 year since my Celica was out of racing form.

Damn.. the track that I go to (pretty crappy) has been closed for a while. I wish there was a 1/4 mile track around Dallas that was still open.. Maybe I should take a trip to SA or Austin area..?

TARGET350Z - My first time ever at a track was this past summer. I had no experience whatsoever, but I think I caught on pretty quickly. I think my best was a low 14, if not 14 flat. Where in TX do you live?
I go to school in Dallas actually. Originally from Houston.

i just became heart broken with trading in my 287 for the revup, but honestly, ...the top end in the revup and more refined feel of the engine and sound damping tht was improved on the Z makes it all worth it,. The increased rev also is nice considering the vq is not a high reving motor. All in all i believe the 06 rev ups will out pass a 287 on the high way. But on a track it would be hard for me to say due to the constant low end tq available on the 287. I would love to see a best motoring of the 287 vrs the 300.

Hmm. I did see a thread a while ago that the 300 hp engines can walk slowly away from the 287 hp engines past 130mph.. We never got videos in that thread.
