Default Where to purchase Cubby Cover (Push-button one above the radio)?

Yes, I did do a search for this before posting this question...but to no avail.

I have an '05 Z and I used an adhesive that was too strong to keep a cell phone holder in place on the cubby cover....When I removed it, there was a adhesive residue that I can't wash off and get rid of

Any ideas where to get a replacement cover...and how hard is it to replace??

Thanks in advance!!

Welcome aboard!

Do you mean the door that covers the Navigation System? I'd also like to know how to replace the door itself, etc.

But I have used a product called "Goo-Gone" to remove adhesive residue from various parts, and it seems to work pretty well.

Joe

BTW, nice screen name . . . NJ is now closed, ya know

Hey 06Firebase...

That's exactly the one I'm talking about...The one that covers the Navi System (which I don't have since I have the Base model...Thank God for my portable Garmin Street Pilot i5 GPS!!).

I searched the net (including eBay) and so far ONLY found one option...Performance Nissan has the whole housing including the door to convert a "flip up" door to a "slide back" door (like the '03's have) for about $75 or $79.

I will try that "Goo Gone" stuff...Thanks for the tip!

NJ is closed?? Did they declare an all-day curfew or did a Giant Cruise Ship crash into ALL the bridges...again?? LOL

Thanks 06Firebase and HighwaySpeed!

If goo gone does not work (which it should), get one of the new WD-40 pens. I got a sample one at the In'tl Z convention and it worked great on removing the grip tape on my golf clubs.

Also be sure to use a cotton towel when using the goo gone and not a paper towel. You may end up with a bigger mess. G/L!

USN HM 350Z....DO you still have this available for sale?? Otherwise, I'll probably get the one from Performance Nissan.

BTW...The Goo Gone had ZERO effect on the glue residue on the console door...dangit!

Thanks!!

No problem, Jason....I decided to go with one for $60 shipped that USN HM 350Z is offering. Although having the slide back door would be nice, the one USN HM 350Z has is the same exact one that goes on the '04 and '05 Z.

Plus, it's a leased Z, so I'm not looking for any problems from the dealer, though I doubt they'd even notice.
