I didn't know what a Z was `till I saw them at the dealer back in 2003. I thought the car was AMAZING, and was only a dream back then to own one!

Mc350z,

I had similar experience. My uncle had the rusted orange 1983 datsun.

I had 1988zx (used), 1994zx roadster (used), 2004 350z (new).

Probably the next one coming out.

Tony

The two first cars I ever drove were nissans... my moms 240sx and my dads pickup. Both manuals. They let me start practicing when I was about 13. I've owned and driven a lot of cars since I turned 16, none of which were nissans, and now more than a decade later I'm back to my roots in my Z.

I'm not so much of a brand **** though. I like what I like.

Well my grandpa had a 280Z but thats about it. Like I've said before, I like driving the Z but all the problems make me NOT a fan of Nissan at all.

well i think it all depends on when you were born. If you grew up around the time that the 240z and 280z were for sale then you'd probably be a fan cause of the Z. Since the 300z was all that popular (or affordable) most people that grew up in the 90s are probably Nissan fans cause of the Skyline or Silvia

I've had a 71' 240Z, a 260Z, and 3 280Z's when I was younger, of course they were dirt cheap back then. When the 300TT's hit the showroom I was married with child and wifey said NO, when 03's were released, to expensive so I waited and bought a low mileage used one.

You should post that pic!

I'm one of the older members here. I first got to like the Z when a roommate's boyfriend, back in the mid-70's in Boston, had a Z and loved that car like nothing else. I still remember it, it was a nice bright blue that he polished religiously every couple weeks, if not more, seems like. My roommate used to complain that he liked that car and spent more money on that car than he did her.

In 1980, I bought a Datsun 310. Few years later bought another one, then had a Stanza for 8 years, from 1984 to 1992, until someone ran a red light and crashed into me. Strayed from the Nissan flock at that point for a few years. In 2000, bought a Maxima GLE which I still have, and then bought the Z in April of this year.

I'd say I've been a good customer for Nissan for a good long time!

First car was an '87 300zx with the digital gauges and t tops. The mid 90's model is still hot. I'd pick one up today if I had a place to put it.

Yes. I bought my first Z in 1974, and my second 30 years later.

i bought a 280zx as a temporary car until i can save up for a nice car few years back.. i think it was an 82... but then bought a 74 240z instead.. love that car, had the whole engine and tranny overhualed then slapped on triple webber carb, headears, cat back, exhaust, MSA body kit, etc and replaced the rears with G20's... interior was gutted out and all was reupholstered.. i mis that car.. im currently in the market for one as a commuter car.

I also owned a Datsun 210. Finally junked it after 200,000 miles. The engine and drive train were in great condition. The body was falling apart.

Before the 350Z, I had always admired the 300ZX and the 240/260Zs before that. I owned a Pathfinder for some time, but my wife hated it so we traded it on a Durango.

Was a fan of Nissan before the Z. First car was a 1984 Pulsar, lol. Can't say I really liked the car, except for the fact that it was holding up extremely well at 150k miles! Then I laid eyes on the Z when it first came out and the rest is history.
