Amen. If you've been on the board for any length of time, you will see more than a few posts from guys who've had the misfortune of hitting standing water on a road and lost their Z as a result. I came close myself when the rear end decided to change lanes without my help. It's a fairly well known fact around here that the Z and water or snow & ice don't mix.

Mine is a year-round daily driver, so it sees rain, snow, ice etc... I must say the VDC and TCS do work wonders to control the car in those conditions.

I seldom drive mine in the rain. Of course it seldom rains here - that helps.

I just keep VDC on and drive a little more carefully when it rains. Not a big deal.

I've got the Michelin Sport Pilots - they're fine in the rain. I feel more secure in the Z than I do in the Maxima. No problems at all. I've driven in very heavy downpours.

What new tires do you speak of? I'm lookin to go michelin pilot once I wear out the stock tires.

I dont drive my Z in the rain because my morning commute is an F'n nightmare 38 miles each way stop and go one lane
Rain = Idiots on the road = Hit Z. No thanks

I Fixed up my Dad's old 87 Ranger and have used it now for the past year to keep miles off my Z (Saved 18K so far). I take the Z out when I enjoy it the most, make my wax jobs last for more than two days lately.

I'm running the PS2s and love them. Lots of grip both wet and dry. Quieter than the Potenzas.

I'm running 275r/245f nitto neo gens and I'm very impressed w/ the wet traction. Drove it through a downpour today w/ no probs.

Thanks, I cant wait to get the new tires. I cant stuff this car with enough sound deadening in the meantime. New tires = new rims

Definately. Have to drive the DD when it rains. Scary as hell though in torrential downpours, even at 50 with ponding water on the side. Otherwise, not bad at all.

the stock tires are pretty bad for wet road conditions but the way i see it is that a well balanced sports car is much safer to drive in the rain then a SUV anyways

I worry more about drowning in my Z. It's so damn low to the ground.

Right.

So it's the TIRES that matter in the rain.
