Talking Just broke 1200 Miles

ahhh, I changed the rev shift up limit back to 6700 and it felt good not to see that light flashing at me so much. I wish I had a camera to make a .jpg to show it going from 1199 to 1200.

Now it is time for fun. To bad there is rainy weather today Darn, rain on my parade

Congrats on reaching 1,200. I just did it this past week, also. I changed the shift light to 5,000, though, just so I wouldn't overdo it by too much right away. Got on it pretty good yesterday, however, and, man, it really pulls strong and steady through 4,500 - 5,500. It felt good.

Congrats to both of you... now you can enjoy your Zs even more.

But it's not over yet... I've noticed that my car seems to pull harder now that I'm past 5000 miles than it did right after 1200miles. A few others have observed this as well and it is quite normal for a motor to continue to "break in" during the first 8000-10,000 miles.

Default 1200?

I'm still at 700 miles...and I'm quite the newbie...can some knowledgeable Yoda type fill me in on break in period suggestions? Manual just says dont drive at the same speed for an extended period of time...

Anyone know what that dripping sound is after I kill the engine is all about?

The manuel says 1200 miles for breakin andn try not to go above 4000RPM and like you said vary your speeds. Don't drive long periods with cruise control on.

The dripping sound is the air condition. You don't have to worry about that.
